As a result of technical problems in 1982, production was completely halted. Raw materials hall, electric refinery, sampling station, and radiological analyzer were all overhauled in 1993, allowing the line to restart. With the restart, imported bauxite was replaced with locally sourced clay, bringing all raw materials within reach of the plant.
